Reefer Argo was attacked by unknown persons on Duala road, Cameroon, on May 16, hour before or after attack on general cargo North Spirit. Bandits took with them Master of the vessel. Argo IMO 8506737 Flag Lithuania build 1985 DWT 5002 Owner Limarko Shipping Co. AB. General cargo North Spirit, though operated by Greece company, also traced to Lithuania. Limarko doesn’t explain what happened, absolute silence on both incidents.

Cameroon – pirates robbed crew and took Master and C Engineer as hostages
On May 16 in Duala, Cameroon, m/v North Spirit was attacked by some 20 armed persons, vessel
was anchored on road, arrived to Duala with 6261 mt fetrilizers and soya at 2100 LT. At 2240 LT
vessel was approached with 3 boats, full of armed people. After boarding vessel they took a
hostage, 3 engineer, and enforced him to show them to Master’s cabin. They stole ship’s cash,
computers, cash and personal belongings of the crew, destroying all communication equipment on
the bridge. 9 of the crew bandits herded on a cargo deck, on  a spot where they spilled benzine.
Then bandits ordered all crew to lay face down, and left vessel, taken Master and Chief Engineer
