Wind turbine installation vessel MPI RESOLUTION
« on: December 23, 2009, 03:52:30 PM »
Last nights episode of "Mighty Ships" on UK television channel "Quest" featured the wind turbine installation vessel RESOLUTION (IMO 9260134) working on the Solway Firth installation. She loaded the wind turbine components in Belfast.
I saw her jacked up in the Thames Estuary/English Channel off Ramsgate a few days ago under the name MPI RESOLUTION and was wondering where she loads the components for this wind farm project. It would be good to get closer to her and get some better photos if anyone knows.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob,
The only details that I can find is on the url below, she is not coming into Harwich International Port, as that is only being used as a base for the Gunfleet and the Gabbard projects.

Hope this helps Bob

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately Dunkirk isn't the easiest place to get to these days being as there are no ferry services offering passage to foot passengers any more and it works out quite expensive to take the car across just for the day.

Cheers

Bob

Thanks Nathan, I'll keep an eye open for that, I get up your way a few times a year.
Here's a photo of her in Dunkirk earlier this month.

Hi Bob,

If you ever get up this way and the MPI is in I should be able to get you on the wharf for a closer look.
