You will be in a better position to know the facts , look forward to seeing you when you arrive , dont know if you will have time for a bottle of "BROON Ale " as you will probably be in then straight out after discharge.

Hi Brian

Hope he doesn't mind the Newcastle Brown being a brew that is now brewed anywhere other than NEWCASTLE  :-o

Hi Brian,
Got some info today from Project manager in Newcastle. We are going to dredge 3,3 NM from the tunnelsite so that's between the breakwaters as I see on the sea-charts.Saw some nice pics. from Vesalius cutter filled with ropes and old tyres.Tommorow I will make a lot of chain's with hooks to get the expected #OOPS# out of the draghead.Shall be short trips and not fully loaded because of the draught.I used to be a fisherman for 16 years so I know what to expect between breakwaters. On Monday we leave for Zeebrugge in Belgium to put our Bowthruster back in place and bunkering and a replace of our bowconnection, now we are using a connection from other company here on river Schelde. The Bowthruster was removed 4 weeks ago during drydocking in Rotterdam and had to go to the doctor :)
When this is finnished we will leave for Newcastle. 8-)

I will keep an eye on you as I share the AIS data from the Tyne area :-

Hey There Brian,
100.000 m3  we need to fill so,don't know if we gonna get this all out of the shipping channel.
Monday we get another Captain as well BrianThis one really folows up all the regulations from the company. Petty because the one who is leaving is more easy for a visit.But... We will see.
I'm also familiar with vesseltracker and marine traffic and I'm living 8 km from Antwerp port.I'm Dutch but run away to Belgium 6 years ago.On board 4 weeks and then 4 weeks holliday.
On board using laptop with Maxsea for fun and internet connexion in each cabin to stay in touch with home.

Hi Brian, "Alexander von Humboldt "can carry 9000m3 depending on the material offcouse. With the depth of the river from  narrow 2 to the tunnel site I think we are going to carry 5000 to 6000m3 in a trip depending on the tide.
The latest vessel off Jan de Nul "Cristobal Colon " can carry 46.000 m3 but won't fit in the river  :)

See Ya  8-)
