The German owner of a containership whose 16 crew are reportedly owed over $230,000 in back wages is refusing to speak on the issue as five crew go on hunger strike.

The master of the 752-teu Magdalena (built 2008) has reportedly asked port authorities in Dubai to impound it as crew have gone unpaid for four months
