The latest news is that Star Cruises are looking for an outright sale at around $30 million 'as is' Port Klang.

Two parties have inspected the vessel so far.

Hi to all of you

the divergences about the norway

It is very difficult to know what will happen to the Norway(Cgt,ex France,1962-1979)because there is many rumours about this ship.Someone tell that the Norway will scrapp and other say that the Norway will sell between 30 millons ans 38 millons of dolars.Me I think that the ship will scrapp because there is much abestos on board.Delete it cost between 50 and 90 millons of  euros(some parties of the ship will be rebuild. After if the ship will sail,it will change the engine(diesel now)50 millons of euros.I don't see who will buy this ship. The last time that I see the ship she seemed me tired and old but with a merveillous line.I love the funnel.I love to look the norway I have a large collection of photos of this ship as France and as Norway but for many I don't am the author so you can't see them on shipspotting.

Best regards

I heard here in Australia through media sources that one of indian breaking firms specalises in striping ships of contaminates purposley for refurbishment and that there was a partie instrested in refurbishing here to cater purley for the senior age bracket ie 55-60 years old onwards.  She would have a reduced number of cabins but the remaining cabins would be increased in size.  She would obvioulsy have to have a power plant conversion I don't think anybody would risk those boilers again nor would lloyds insure them?  I don't if this info is true or it is just another rumour but I belive it is similar to a proposal that Star Cruise were said to have been looking at.  LIKE I SAY I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE IT IS ONLY WHAT I READ FROM MEDIA SOURCES HERE IN AUSTRALIA.
