Logos Hope finishes conversion project
« on: February 19, 2009, 08:09:47 PM »
After five long years of work, the Christian bookstore and ministry ship Logos Hope (IMO 7302914) has sailed into service.  Thursday afternoon it left Koge, Dennmark for Gothenberg, Sweden, where the crew will sell books, hold conferences and work with the local churches.  The Logos Hope was converted from the car ferry Norrona, with most of the work done by volunteers traveling from all around the world to work on her.

I guess this isn't really a big event in shipping news, but it means a lot to me.  I spent over a year volunteering on the Logos Hope when she was in Brodotrogir shipyard, Croatia, undergoing the majority of the conversion work.  After five years of work, it's great to see the ship in service.
