Just drove by the HMS ARK ROYAL ,hoping to see the tugs making fast and ,I heard on the VHF that she is not sailing tonight!!
According to the PORT OF TYNE sailings listings she has been delayed by 25 hours. Does this happen often? I have never known a royal navy ship be delayed.

Listening to the wind tonight I would guess that the RN want to avoid any potential damage/accidents getting her out of the Tyne Piers tonight  :-o

Also she isn't on operations at the moment, so perhaps they can cut a little slack. Might play into our hands if she is delayed until a time which is photogenic!

Is that so she can sail along side Clem in the Hartlepool area in a few days time (thats if Clem sails tomorrow).  :lol:  :lol:

From the radio news this evening Ark Royal is expected to depart tonight.

As normal HMS Ark Royal departed  dead on time at 20.00.
