4 Missing as cargo ships capsizes off Newfoundland

CBC news is reporting the four crewmambers are missing after their cargo ship the Cap Blanc capzied about 4 nautical miles off Marystown. The vessel had departed Argentia on Monday and was heading to St. Pierre. A cormorant helicopter from Gander as well as a Hercules from Greenwood, Nova Scotia, as well as the CCGS George R. Pearkes and W. Jackman are sent to the area. The Cap Blanc is one of 2 vessels that carry freight from Newfoundland to St. Pierre

Dumb question but was it due to a storm/high wind/large waves?  I would not think anyone would last very long in the water at this time of the year.  Sad news.

The Canadian government has chartered the diving support vessel Skandi Achiver (IMO 9413810) to investigate the wreck and try to recover the bodies of the crew.
