Nexus is to run special trips on the Shields ferry for people to view the QE2 when she arrives on the Tyne on Wednesday, October 8.
The half hour trips will give people the chance to get up close to the QE2 from the unique perspective of the river while she is berthed at the Northumbrian Quay in North Shields.
Nexus, who operate the Shields ferry service, will run the trips from 12pm (Noon) on Wednesday, October 8, with the last sailing at 10pm.
The newest Shields ferry, Spirit of the Tyne, will be used for the trips while the other ferry, Pride of the Tyne, will be used for the regular timetabled river crossings.
The trips will be departing every two hours from South Shields ferry landing and the landing at Royal Quays Marina on North Tyneside. The trips from South Shields will get underway at 12pm while the trips from Royal Quays Marina start from 1pm.
