The Baltic containerfeeder MAERSK ROME was renamed FREDERIK on Friday at Hamburg when her charter for Maersk Line ended. She was replaced by the larger KATHARINA on the route Bremerhaven-Kotka.

For those interested, the Danish flagged RoRo TOR Anglia has been renamed a couple of weeks ago "Comanav Tanger". It doesn't change her management or her ownership, but it was a requirement of her charterer (CMA CGM for their subsidy Comanav). It makes now 3 months she has been put on the Marseille/Casablanca line.

Canada Steamship lines recently bought four bulkers from FedNav this year...  The new names for the ships pay homage to former names in the CSL canadian domestic fleet, the renaming is as follows:

Lake Erie: Richelieu
Lake Michigan : Mapleglen
Lake Ontario: Oakglen
Lake Superior: Saguenay

Thank you to Roger LeLievre for pointing this out.
