According to the position at Aislive.com of the Spanish rescue boats & tug seems like vessels involved are the bulker NEW FLAME and the tanker TORM GERTRUD.

Great photograph - lucky there was sand bank to rest on  :-o

Cannot find anything on the TORN GERTRUDE - anyone have any information on what is being descibed by the media as a Danish Petrol Tanker?

I have read quite a few media articles, all of which claim she is a Danish Petrol Tanker. She must be. What other information you need?
Equasis doesnt regonised the ship at all.

Torm is an old well established danish shipping company.

Here is a link to the companys own description of the ship.

http://www.torm.dk/internet/front.nsf/vDOC/8996DD33F24782D8C1256DC0004FBE85?OpenDocument.

Do anybody know anything about the other ship and its owners?

Best regard Bjarne

Seems like she was bought by Transmar, a Greek company, in 2005. Look at this and scroll down

Interesting occurence here, both were coming from the United States North East I believe. I am pretty positive New Flame loaded scrap metal in Albany,NY North of NYC up the Hudson River.(same place heavy lift Stellamare flipped over)  I am also pretty sure Torm Gertrud was enroute from the Boston,MA area last being at Citgo Braintree,MA.
PLEASE COMMENT, RATE or better yet Email or IM me to discuss anything about ships, always looking to make new friends and improve my pictures  :-D ......
