Hmm it looks like she probably crashed against the quay, maybe during mooring operations. Doesn´t look like a collision to me. But I ve also no information..

The same site mentions indeed a collision during mooring in 2003. But this ship was also involved in an incident during heavy storm and high seas, in which she did not reduce speed and lost a lot of her bowsection. I don't know which of the two incidents is shown on the photo.

As I recall it was wave damage sustained during her early years. The material used was lightweight and fragile (as you can see from the pictures!). She was laid up for a short time afterwards for repairs, this time using stronger materials.

Dutch Riverpilot for 31 years(1965/08 untill 1996/01) on RiverScheldt(located in Belgium/The Netherlands); between Flushing and Antwerp vice-versa..Over 4000 ships of all sizes were piloted in that period.
