Ok, please correct me if I am wrong, but aren't minesweepers special purpose ships equipped with sensitive, clutter-piercing sonar designed to locate even small objects in shallow coastal waters?

Apparently this model had that pesky defect that prevents it from working when it is not turned on.

Dutch Riverpilot for 31 years(1965/08 untill 1996/01) on RiverScheldt(located in Belgium/The Netherlands); between Flushing and Antwerp vice-versa..Over 4000 ships of all sizes were piloted in that period.

Dutch Riverpilot for 31 years(1965/08 untill 1996/01) on RiverScheldt(located in Belgium/The Netherlands); between Flushing and Antwerp vice-versa..Over 4000 ships of all sizes were piloted in that period.

         By the look of the hull damage "if" they pull her off I hope they have a quick dry dock avalable very nearby!!! :-)
