Hi,

I read on faktaomfartyg that she has been sold again to an unknown company.
Does anyone know who this unknown company is?

Jean Nicoli is currently in Marseille, obviously laid up. She's still in the SNCM livery.

No, CMN is only mentionned in the article to remind the fact that Jean Nicoli was bought at the time CMN/SNCM alliance renewal was far from being sure, and that SNCM needed extra capacity to compensate the possible CMN "loss".

We still don't know anything about the buyer...

Anyway, it's possible Jean Nicoli will do at least an official SNCM crossing. She is on the Marseille Port Authority schedule for tomorrow, bound for Algiers.

Hi,

so it will be wait and see then
It's too bad that they don't keep a good and fast ship like that
I wonder who has bought it then...

Jean Nicoli will operate several trips between Marseilles and Algeria (Algiers, Annaba and Skikda) after the ferry Île-de-Beauté was damaged.

Île de Beauté was damaged Huh?  :-o  :-o  :-o I didn't know that. I noticed that she went back at her winter laid up berth, but I just thought it was because she only operated the week ends... Do you know what happened to her ?

ile de beauté had an engine failure, so jean nicoli replaces him until that the ile de beauté is repaired because jean nicoli would have been sold??  :-?

Jean Nicoli is scheduled for 3 trips to Algeria. Then nothing plannes as fas as I know.
It is sure that Veolia transport is trying to sell this ship, but according to "Nice-Matin" paper, the Italian company that was supposed to buy it wasn't able to prove it had enough funds to buy it.

Île de Beauté is now in Union Naval Marseille drydock. However, I'm not sure about Jean Nicoli situation. Port of Marseille authority website said she was due to depart to Algeria at 1pm from a Ferry terminal berth. But she was actually still at her "laid up" pier (see here), very far from any  facility and didn't sail at the scheduled hour.

Well the newspaper did not named it.
By the way, according to the same article, when it goes to Marseilles, Jean Nicoli is supposed to land at the cruise terminal. It seems the SNCM's terminal is not long enough for it.
