I think Shipspotting.com is without doubt the best ship enthusiast site on the net.

The site has a few faults, for me, all of them have been mentioned in this thread.

Human nature dictates that many people want to be top dog and will go to any lenghts to try to achieve that.

I have absolutely nothing to do with social media.

The webmaster has made it clear how difficult it is to address all these issues, and how much power does he have to change things?

All i want to see on this site is a level playing field for all members and photos.

Well said Teachers,

I forgot to mention in my previous comments that a "good" picture is also accompanied by a proper and informative description of what is depicted. Furthermore "good" for me has two meanings. It can relate to the subject, and to the technical quality of the shot, ideally combined.
