New build Suva Chief IMO 9861897 is doing a one off southbound voyage on Swire's Southeast Asia schedule. She is due Auckland 18 February 2021. She is replacing Shaoshing which is leaving the schedule. There is no news on the Suva Chiefs deployment after Auckland discharge.

Shaoshing is doing a coastal voyage between Auckland and Lyttelton with containers while Moana Chief is on Christmas layby. She will then load timber in Napier and logs in Tauranga on the North Asia breakbulk service.

Due to no bulk carrier with cement due in Auckland for a while, Holcim are sending the cement carrier "Buffalo" from Timaru to Auckland with cement.
