Questions regarding Age of Exploration Ships and missions.
« on: April 06, 2020, 02:10:03 PM »
Hello everyone,

I am working on a project that is inspired by the age of exploration, specifically the long expeditions such as the discovery of the sea route to India or the discovery of the new world. But I am finding it very hard to find information about what was the usual number of crewmen, their roles, how many ships were usually involved, walmartone what were some problems these types of missions had to overcome, etc. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it greatly.

Hello pelslkein
Welcome to shipspotting.com

It may be that we have members here who can help, at least in pointing you towards other sources.
Meanwhile, there is a good email-based maritime history discussion group MARHST-L that has some first class members always ready to help.  See:
https://www.marmuseum.ca/index.php/research/marhst-l-research-resources
and you can sample recent discussions here:

I hope that you find what you are seeking

David
