SAND SWAN (ex South Coast Dredger)
« on: February 26, 2020, 02:13:33 PM »
Hi,

The Marine & Towage Services Group's tug MTS VICTORY has just sailed from Tor Bay with the old sand dredger SAND SWAN in tow for Leith to be broken up (AIS ETA showing as 02 March 2020 at midday).  They have been anchored off Brixham for a couple of weeks after arriving there from Liverpool.

Best regards

Tom

Hello Tom,

She is the same sand dredger (imo 6913510) who run aground a small rock island " Les Duons", when leaving Roscoff harbour the 05 january 1975 ?

Kind regards

yvon corre

Klaipeda was showing as her port of registration when at anchor off Brixham.  I believe her IMO is/was 6913510, her old call sign (LR 2014-2015) was LYTH although Equasis currently shows her flag and call sign as being unknown.  Overnight, she should pass south of Poole where she had been built in 1970.

Best regards

Tom
