Is there any photo taking opportunities/locations  of cruise ships berthed in Dover?

The short answer is "No" Les. Dover Harbour Board prevented this when they shut the Prince of Wales Pier to the public to make way for a new marina and freight park.  If you have a good long lens you might get reasonable photos from Langdon Cliffs, behind Eastern Docks, which is a pretty cool place to visit anyway. Admiralty Pier is where the cruise ships berth and that is usually open to the public, but the cruise ships are obscured by the terminal building.  And Disney insist that Admiralty is closed to the public when their ships are in town for security reasons. Typical behaviour for a Micky Mouse organisation. Cheers, Mark.

Thanks for that Mark you have saved me quite a considerable train journey, but will bear in mind about the cliffs when we're, next that way down.  Les

The view from the cliffs last week, it was wet and windy at the time but even when bright, the sun will be a problem most of the day.
