It is definitely not our policy to delete photos just because a mistake has been made in the category. Many Admin spend time correcting these errors.
As Adrian has noted if any member feels that an image has been unreasonable deleted, they should reply to deletion email that he sends, which automatically goes to the Webmasters for investigation (or contact direct at email@example.com
with the details). If it is accepted that a mistake has been made, the member will be invited to reload the photo.
