Henrik thinks it is connected with a "bad ad" from one of the ad prtners.  He wil try to track it down (not always easy as some ads are country-specific)
It is probably difficult for members to identify, especially if running an ad-blocker.

I use Ublock Origin, and the popup still showed up. As a note however, I've only had it once, and have been unable to make it reappear.

When I visit shipspotting.com and have a quick look at the code I see the code in the picture below.
I am wondering what the url in the red rectangle means. Google didn't come up with anything and the url itself doesn't work either.
One line above there's a reverence to a page tracker script.

I regret to inform the mysterious pop-up is still there this morning...

Sticky thing!

And it seems to appear at a perfectly random rate when accessing the website, not at log-in. Got it the first time seconds after the home page opened, closed the connection, re-connected to the site again, and this time no annoying interferences showed up.

Unfortunately, I am totally unaware as to what causes it. All I know is that it must be erradicated soon, or the site will suffer.

If you look back on this thread you'll see that 'admin' has already sorted it by alerting our IT man, Henrik. What else do you expect 'admin' to do? They can't solve the problem directly, and the IT man is working on it. Please be patient.
