EMMANUEL MARCOU GREEK SHIP

Hello, I'm wanting to get information on how this vessel came to be named Emmanuel Marcou as this is my late Uncle's name. It's not a popular name so we find it strange that a ship possess this name.
Anyone know?

Registered owner was Ocean Tramp Tankers Corp SA, Panama, but that was run by:

Tramp Shipping Ltd, Piraeus, and N E Marcou Shipping Agencies Ltd, London (of which N E Marcou was a director).  I think that he was probably the son of Emmanuel Marcou from the island of Syros (Syra), who was an active shipowner in the 1920s and 1930s.
