Hi,

Some info here about being sold but no date.

http://www.sdusa.com/ships/tropic_isle.php

The last info I saw was in 2016 but nothing else. Reported sold but no info about the new owner.

Another pre-2010 photo:
https://www.vesseltracker.com/en/ShipPhotos/117504-Caribe-Isle-7616638.html

Sale by Hyde Shipping seems to have been in 3/2010, and Antigua registration also closed at that time.  Quite a distinctive vessel, but found nothing more.  There are a few half-hearted reports on MarineTraffic at Roatan but, as they quote the old Antigua c/s-MMSI, are probably phantoms.

But quite a lot of vessels just lying around at Roatan, Honduras, but cannot see this one on (rather indistinct) Googlemaps.  Who fancies a cruie there?  Or can you get a charter, Capt Ted?

Hi,

According to this document, the ship was involved in drug traffic in 2007.

Also, I am not quite sure but I think the ship is visible in Google Earth on the rather blurry july 2013 layer at  16

I too read that yesterday - there was no implication of wrong-doing by the master or owner, and the ship continued to trade for Hyde Shipping until about 2010.

That does certainly look as if it could be her in 2013.

Thanks for all the information

Checked out Google Earth did see a blurry image of her. Got this pic, not sure how recent this picture is but you can see her
