Ship Search by ENI
« on: November 28, 2017, 04:56:58 PM »
Does anyone have a way of searching ship's name by ENI only?
I have tried De Binnenvaart but no luck. Maybe I'm not doing it right!
There is a Wikimedia Commons search but huge numbers missing.
Both Marinetraffic & Fleetmon have search pages but it appears only by name, IMO or MMSI

Any help most appreciated

Russ

De Binnenvaart works for me:
http://www.debinnenvaart.nl/schepen_home/
Use "Snel zoeken" halfway down the page,
and select "(ex-)ENI Nummers"
It seems to work with or without the leading zero
Of course it depends on the vessel being in the De Binnenvaart database

Try also
https://binnenvaartlog.nl/ - "zoeken", but you must exclude the leading "0"

Hello Russell,
there are at least three websites where you can search by ENI number. On the site debinnenvaart.nl you have to click on item "Databank : De Binnenvaartschepen" and then enter the wanted number/or the ship's name, whatever your choice is.On the site binnenvaart.eu you should click on "zoeken", which means "search" in Dutch and fill in the wanted ENI. On both websites you can search with or without the beginning digit Zero. On the German site binnenschifferforum.de you have first to register and subsequently fill in the ENI in field "Erweiterte Suche", the site is in German language only.

Searching with google entering "ENI" plus 8 digits beginning with "0" will lead you to various websites, including the three sites given above.

Best regards Hans

Many thanks to seaweasel & davidships for their help. They both led me to pages on Binnenvaart I had not been before; only ever been to A-Z search and tried "zoeken" in top left.

Thanks again guys.
