From onboard Svitzer Deben, the Matz Maersk makes her approach for Felixstowe. The Deben makes fast centre lead aft and shows an incredible angle as they go out for a powered in-direct on the port quarter then a port swing with 2 other tugs for Felixstowe Berth 9.

Part one of my trip out on the Svitzer Deben.  I must say a huge thank you to the Svitzer Felixstowe office, Captain Lee and his crew.

The 18270teu Matz Maersk was a special ship for Felixstowe as she was their 100th 18000+ mega ship of the year.

Filmed by a good friend Paul Hiett on the shore. He has done a marvellous job if it. https://youtu.be/ugtTG4ZTelQ

The last and final part of my trip out on the Svitzer Deben.

Without the skilful captains on the Svitzer tugs, these mega ships would not be able to come into Felixstowe.

I would like to thank the team at Svitzer Felixstowe for organising my trip. Thank you again. Best wishes to you all. Dean
