Stolen photo on Marine Traffic
« on: April 23, 2017, 12:12:05 PM »
Good Afternoon dear shipspotters,
While posting few photos on Marine Traffic today, I found one of mine already posted by a poster named: Mohamed Mahmoud Eissa.
I droped a request at Marine traffic and will try to contact this person to clear this matter if possible.
The pic I found is about FPSO N'KOSSA II
https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:370307/mmsi:309669000/vessel:NKOSSA%20II
This scanned photo which I've taken on site offshore Congo was already on shipspotting.com
I had a sharp look at on Mohamed Mahmoud Eissa's post and I came to the conclusion that iti is my pic.
Sorry for my poor English but I hope I gave you an info for you to check if none of yours are on marine traffic under another copyright holder.
Best regards
Pascal

We identified eleven images in this guy's gallery taken from ShipSpotting.
MarineTraffic confirmed they are dealing with the issue.

David,
give me the ships which are stolen, I will take care about the deletion.
Please contact me by PM
In the moment MT has problems with moderating photos, but it will be possible in some hours/weeks/years.

I have checked his account and found in the first sight 28 stolen photos, I have forwarded the links to the MT collegues and I am sure the copyright violations will be history today, I report the success later.

Hi @ll,
all 28 photos were hidden in the MT database, they are no more public visible. After christmas I will inform MT to remove all the links from their server.

Merry Christmas to all of you,
Juergen
