Can someone check to see if ship_spotter68 is still showing our photos on Instagram.
I think I'm running out of luck with the idiots at Instagram and haven't been able to get them to delete any pix for a week.
Now when I try to see what he's showing, I just get Sorry, this page isn't available.
But I'm wondering if Instagram have told him my user name and he's blocked me again.

Page not available, user does not exist.

So, I guess they've deleted him.

Thanks ... that indicates he hasn't just blocked me again.

It would be nice if they have taken him off the air but they've been rejecting my reports for a week.
Perhaps he's changed his user name again?

Congratulations for your persistence, Owen

Yes, he may well pop up again, though he may need a different ISP to do so.

There is a lot of instagram accounts stealing photos and not tagging the author. Just report them to Instagram and they will delete the photo. If they do it again, they'll probably get banned.

Unless the content is from a large company, Instagram couldn't care less which is deeply frustrating.

Hi @ll dear shipspotter.

I found 4060 stolen photos in the Instagram-account by spanish user @perebisa
https://www.instagram.com/perebisa/?hl=de

All the photos were taken from Marinetraffic, but many, many of these photos are also uploaded from Shipspotting-member.

I could manage with 2 reports to Instagram that 85 of my stolen photos were deleted, but that guy continues every day with uploading.

Contact adress of Instagram for only copyright violation or fraud:

Thanks for the heads-up Vlad.
I'll do a bit of data-gathering (but I will be on the move for a few days early next week) and report back here. And have another look at the earlier cases.

I've PM'd the 17 other members whose shipspotting.com photos were posted on https://www.instagram.com/ship_spotting_greece/ between 1/1/2019 and today - over 300 photos in all - and there are another 9 months uploads in 2018 not yet checked.  Hopefully some at least will follow Vlad's example in making formal complaint and getting them removed.

Unfortunately as soon as one of these copyright infringers is stopped another surfaces. Sometimes the same one with a different account, or on a different website, app etc.
If you place your images on line you always run the risk of them being stolen and re-used, re-posted etc without credit.Mine are appearing everywhere and I have given up worrying about it. The choice is if you want people to see your images then you have to place them on line. Or you can take them and keep them for yourself or an exclusive group of trusted contacts.

Instagram has started working according to the new set of rules, disabling accounts with specific number of violations within specific period of time, so maybe it's the case here.
I have reported this account couple of months ago, and Instagram's action was (unexpectedly) quick. Next time I've reported it for the same stealing behavior, Instagram gave me a little more trouble, but still deleted the content I've reported eventually.
It seems to be more difficult for the copyright holder to prove his/her case than it is for the shady instagram account owner to steal the photos, but copyright owners can prevail in the end (like in this case)...
