What is the secret to posting a photo
« on: October 11, 2016, 01:49:23 PM »
In the "Add Photo" section. Tried reducing the size, still no joy. Is there a specific software people use to reduce size?

Thanks in advance.

You can reduce the size of photos using any photo editing software, including those bundled with digital cameras. There are even on-line photo editors which you can use.

I would recommend that you do not post photos directly out of the camera anyway. A bit of post-processing (though not overdone) will often make your pictures more likely to meet site standards. Unless of course you are an accomplished photographer to begin with !

Thanks for the reply, I loaded PhotoFunStudio and still can not post picture. Can you give me some more specific details o n what I need to do? Looks like I have the option of resizing picture and adjusting the JPEG Compression ratio.

I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with the specifics of that particular photo editor.

Hi vonkamp

Most photo editing programs have a Help tab or button that will lead to instructions that apply to its software.

I suggest you try that approach to find out how get your images to a size needed for uploading.

All members have had to learn how to do it

The information under the Photo Manipulation link on the Support tab may help.
