Good morning !

Please let me know if possible the following:

There were some information items of a vessel had been showed before,
One of them was "place of built"
But now it is not showed on page.

Hi Binh,

Thank you for bringing this up.

We hope to have the Place of Build field restored very soon.

Best Regards
Cody

lets hope the shipyard details will reflect the actual name of the shipbuilder, not what the yard might currently be known as as happened previously.

@ Bob Scot,

The owner and operators are changed frequently.
I think putting in this item brings lots of works to the administrators.
Also to prevent isues after something happend with a vessel and the data on shipspotting was outdated.
Perhaps the previous owner get a bad reputation afterwards brings claims to the website owner.

regards
Frans

The ownership details would apply only to the time the photo was taken. The ideal situation would be that the poster took the time to add ownership details. But I know that most members just can't be bothered put all that effort in.

I am not sure how the "Place of Build" is to be restored, it was originally supplied by "Gross Tonnage" and they no longer exist but many complaint's were received about inaccuracies in the information they provided in all the fields.

If we are to provide this information ourselves then it would need to be accurate with a team working full time to search for and to keep the information updated, how this can be achieved with the current lack of Admin activity I just do not know.

Not everyone is interested to have this information but those that wish to have it can make their own search so with this in mind I think the only solution would be for the Website to provide LINKS for search purposes, this I feel would be a practical way forward.

Regards
Ken
