Does anyone have a name that for some reason stands out,or is always remembered ?
Mine is "Tropical Morn",conjures up an atmosphere so well.
Or the other extreme-"Time is Money" !!

A personal favorite for me has always been the 2002-built bulker CRUX, or more specifically, it's original name of FRAGRANT ISLAND. Though, the yacht DUMB LUCK cuts a close second.

Other names I have seen such as WIDE CHARLIE, NEW HISTORY and MORNING NINNI have been on the amusing side as well.

Kind Regards,
Kyle

And, of course, my favourite one I still remember seeing - OOSTERSCHELDEBORG - http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=429011 I mean how do you pronouce it as one word?  Which letter is under emphasis?  Could had no problems with it if it was just written just OOSTER SCHELDE BORG. ;D

Beside all that, here are more creative names:

I have seen various odd names .especially on yachts, but the best one for me was a small motor cruiser named AFTER YOU, when I enquired about the originality of the name with the owner, I thought he will tell me that because his boat was just a small one  he gives way to larger ones, but the answer was quiet different and unique.
When he meets some girl,to impress he just tells her that ne named the boat "After you"....what do you think, smart and witty...eh.
He wouldn't have to rename the boat when he embark on a new love venture.

Asked why a rather obscure Greek owner operating small tankers in West Africa should choose my name, Unibros told me that it had no particular significance.  They had merely asked their London agent to choose a name "with a bit of class" - in this case the royal jewellers in Bond Street, London.

There was a British skipper-owned coaster in the 1970s called ONTIC. A play on the slang phrase "on tick" meaning on credit. His next ship was called MORTIC (More tick)

This is one of my favourites just because it's so ironic. A woodchip carrier called Forest Creator.
