Hello and north east England help
« on: January 19, 2016, 11:31:06 AM »
Hello everyone,

My first post and am looking for some guidance on spotting/ photography locations in north east England.

I am situated in industrial Teesside so tees, wear and Tyne are not too far away

Thanks for any help

Rob

The North Gare pier is an excellent position - enabling you to see ships arriving and sailing from the River tees.

Te South Gare at the mouth of the Tees for you is the obvious choice for you, have a look at my photos on this site, nearly all taken there whilst taking the dog out.I will send you a e-mail with my pone number etc, i can then give you a few pointers etc

Yes sorry, I meant South Gare - not the North Gare as that's Hartlepool side - but you will get some good shots from there if you have a decent lens!  :)

I went up to Blyth last Tuesday, got good photos of UP Agate And UP Jasper laid up together, and also Fugro Saltire laid up as well. I went to the area known as North Blyth, easy access by road and easy parking.

If you know good locations please also record them for later use in the Shipspotting Locations subcategory under the Harbour Overview Images Category

There is a guidance FAQ under the Category Standards heading reached from the Support tab on the Home page
