Yong Xiang 7 ex Summer Bay mystery !
« on: December 18, 2015, 08:17:18 PM »
The above reefer left Nakhodka on the Pacific coast of Russia over 30 days ago heading through the Japanese Islands bound for supposedly South Boat Shore ( Which is not a merchant ship port ?) with an ETA of 9/12/15

As of today there is still no sign of her on any website ? Any news would be very much appreciated

Many thanks

Mike Cardiff

Thank you Juergen .. That's been puzzling me for weeks. I guess that's a satellite AIS position ?

That's very interesting Juergen. I can see what you mean about over fishing !
Can you give me the names of the other 2 green targets. Would be interested to see if they're old reefers as well

Thx
Mike

Thank you Juergen

Fascinating picture. I cant believe the number of trawlers out there !

I wish I could upgrade to Satellite on my Marine Traffic plan but its way too expensive  :(

From my limited knowledge I would guess they are fishing for Anchoveta which is used as fishmeal. They can take up to 10m tonnes per year from the Pacific !
