FISHING VESSELS
« on: July 13, 2015, 02:32:40 PM »
A category review was begun under the guidance of the previous Webmaster.
This is continuing with the main aim to simplify the uploading to the category.

Because it is difficult to get enough information for some vessels there are many errors in the sub-categories for over and under 70ft length and also the near shore fishing vessels.
With that in mind these three sub-categories are being phased out.

Fishing Vessels will all be in the main Category "Fishing Vessels" in future the other sub-categories in this section will remain.

best regards

Derek

I can see why that makes sense - there has been a fair bit of "guess the length", I think.

You might wish to consider whether the "Examples" sub-category is needed any longer (it would need some revision if kept, to bring it into line with this latest change).

Of course the category site standards will need to follow suit (and a large chunk devoted to identifying subcategories that no longer exist can be dispensed with)

Hi David,

Yes you are right that would be superfluous now.

The standards will also have to be altered.

best regards
Derek
