North Sea Ro-Ro video series, part 1
« on: June 19, 2015, 02:06:47 PM »
The first part of Shipping TV's new video series, filmed aboard the DFDS Suecia Seaways and Selandia Seaways ro-ro ferries running between Felixstowe and Rotterdam, is now on the video page of this site.

This video shows preparation for departure, followed by Captain Ole Nielson breaking Suecia Seaways away from the quay, and swinging prior to leaving harbour. Subsequent episodes will take a detailed look at the chief engineer's domain, the run up to central Rotterdam, and more from Selandia Seaways on the way home.

Fantastic site. I just went to look at Shipping TV and it is excellent. I was working in Felixstowe at No. 3 & 4 RoRo until 1980. Seeing Felixstowe again on Shipping TV brought back many happy memories. Thank you.

Thanks, Al - delighted you like the site. You can also access the video clips, organised in a better way, by searching for ShippingTV on Youtube.com and taking a look at the channel page.

When is North Sea Ro-Ro video Part 2 coming out? Are cargo operations on the books for future recordings?
