New Cargo/Passenger route from UK to Great Lakes ports
« on: April 12, 2015, 12:33:07 AM »
Polish Steamship Company (Polsteam) will soon introduce a new cargo/passenger route from Teesport, UK to several ports on the Great Lakes. Starting in mid April the fares start at US $1,640 per person in single or double rooms from Teesport, United Kingdom to ports between Montreal and Detroit. It will cost US $1,880 per person for ports above Detroit plus a $132 port charge per person.
Non US or Canadian citizens are required a full B1/B2 Visa to enter the United States by cargo ship. US visas may not be required if there are direct routes to Canadian ports. Spaces may become available from the Great Lakes as the destinations become known.
The maiden voyage of the new route will be operated by Wicko (IMO 9393474), who will be sailing to a new port for Polsteam passengers, Sault Ste Marie, Ont.

Regular sailings are still available from the port of IJmuiden to Cleveland and Burns Harbor.
