Algoeast is the first great lakes ship to be taken from its usual service on the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Seaway in 2015. The tanker, built in 1977 and owned by Algoma Central sits idle in Sydney, NS awaiting overseas interest. It is still unknown the ships new owners, flag, or name.

Is there a confirmed sale, pending handover to new owner, or is she idle and looking for a buyer?
