What happens in Samesfjord with the tankers
« on: July 13, 2014, 03:22:48 PM »
Hi all
In Samesfjord Norway east of Veidnes near Honningsvag  and on MT i see many times tankers laying near together.
Some days ago the KAPITAN GOTSKY and the MINERVA ELEONORA.Last week I could see the NS Concept coming from Wilhelmshaven and Fawley laying near the Timofey Guzhenko which has as destination port Murmansk.
What sense makes this? Brings the NS C. oil from North Africa to this place and then they disembarkt the oil to the T.G. and she will bring the oil to Murmansk. Why disembark the NS C the oil not herself in Murmansk? Will the NS.C load norwegian oil for the south? somewere?
Questions on questions.
Thanks for the help.
Peter
I'm far away from the sea to Hamburg I have a longer distance as to Venice or Genova. My favorite is the Suez Canal, Panama Canal and since 2006 also Chinese harbours.

KAPITAN GOTSKY is a specialist, icebreaking, shuttle tanker, serving the Varandey offshore terminal near Murmansk. Russian oil is taken to the ice-free Sarne Fjord for transhipment into normal tankers for onward shipment to refineries worldwide
