Hull towed past Hook
« on: March 16, 2006, 11:49:41 PM »
Hi
About 2000hrs, today (16th), a tug towed past the Hook of Holland what appears to be just the hull of a ship. It was dark, so I couldn't make out the name on the bow. The vessel was also in darkness, apart from steaming lights. When she passed, I caught the name on the stern. I'am sure it was Helle Ritscher.
Does anyone have any info on this vessel?

Regards
Karl

Helle Ritscher is Sietas hull number 1271, IMO 9333371, for Gerd Ritscher K.G.

I believe that the hull was built in Romania and is en-route to Hamburg for fitting out and completion. Tug probably stopping off at Rotterdam for stores/bunkers, etc.

Cheers
Phil
