Can you confirm the status of the HONG KONG BRIDGE, IMO 9395161 please.  She is shown by Equasis to be renamed ONE HONG KONG and is also listed in the Ocean Network Express Schedules arriving Southampton on 2nd November 2019.
Wrong IMO and name it should be HONGKONG BRIDGE IMO 9224336

In fact HONGKONG BRIDGE IMO 9224336, although originally sold for scrap, the sale failed and the vessel continues to trade. The same goes for sistership ROTTERDAM BRIDGE IMO 9224324

Been wondering is the containervessel NORDATLANTIC (IMO: 9241451, MMSI: 255806173) now heading for scrapyard in Asia? After she phased out as a Hapag-Lloyd feeder and having spent a couple weeks for orders off Falmouth she left in ballast for Suez Canal taking first bunkers off Gibraltar. Yet haven't seen any news about selling for scrap. Please keep updated.

Looks as if HERAKLE ex-HERAKLES ex-ANGLIAN PRINCE ex-HISPANIA ex-SALVAGEMAN (IMO 7725805) is heading for Alang.  Currently in Red Sea from Ras Gharib (Egypt) for Bhavnagar. ETA 29/10, but only making 3-4kn (perhaps using two out of four engines) - or could she be towing something?  Change to Gabon flag and minimal change of name suggest one-way trip and new owners RV International DMCC are, I think, engaged in cash buying for scrap.

She has been laid up for a while - anyone know where?

Hello David,

Herakles was laid up at Swinoujsce for a couple of years, but reactivated in the summer of 2018 for a bridge project in Greenland. Then back into lay-up again.
Hermes is known for buying ocean going tugs, using them once or twice for a tow and then scrapping them.
Does not look good for the old Salvageman.

Best wishes,
Hans

FS PEGASUS not showing on AIS however there is a photo taken in August on Marine Traffic, which shows that no demolition work had taken place.

That makes no sense at all. The vessel is a modern IMO2 chemical tanker, owned by a respected company and currently employed and anchored off Lome, Togo.
