SUMMER MEADOW showing destination as New Zealand, ETA 15/1.
SUMMER FLOWER leading this evening's southbound Suez convoy from Port Said, but no further destination yet declared.

Yeah thx David .. I wont read too much into NZ as her sister did the same a few years back then turned left at Aden for Alang !

Yes, I recall that in other cases too.  We'll know soon enough!
Meanwhile SUMMER FLOWER now has ETA at Singapore 13/1.

OEL Khaleej Express reported sold for scrap.
She is the ex Sea-Land Champion sold last year to Transworld marine and the first of this series to be scrapped.
Her sisters, still in Maersk service, will be scrapped this year.
Cheers,
Roy

Hi,

two VLOC are on the way to Alang & Chittagong.

No.1 is the VALE-controlled "ORE BRUCUTU" and No.2 is the "BING N" of NEU Seeschiffahr Hamburg.
Both vessels started their last voyages from Singapore.

Best regards from Hamburg

Hi all,

after selling the VLOC "BING N" to scrappers at Chittagong, the same owner, NEU Seeschiffahrt of Hamburg, has sold another vessel. The "EVA N" ( IMO-No. 9127150), formerlly known as "BERGE NORD" sailed Singapore a few days ago with the same Destination.

Greets from Hamburg

That more scrapping that better for the market,,unfortunately as far as I nkow the new buildings still surpass the scrappings,,,,,or ?  Anyone knows the numbers,,,scrapped / new ?
NOW!!!,,,if we could get rid of the sailors,,how safe shipping would be !!!!!!!!

The mystery of the SUMMER FLOWER .. she left the Suez anchorage we presume to follow her sister Summer Meadow to the graveyard in Alang. Her last report was on 02 Jan heading South at a similar speed to her sister of 15kts. A rough calculation shows its 3200 miles divided by 15kts equals 9 days. So that puts her 6 days behind schedule ? Maybe the old girl has broken down in the Red Sea ?

If anyone is lucky enough to have access to satellite AIS I would appreciate a current position MTIA

According to the weekly GMS report (uploaded on Tuesdays at http://www.hellenicshippingnews.com/category/report-analysis/weekly-demolition-reports/), the ANITA-1 arrived at Chittagong on 8/1/'17. According to Marinetraffic, she was still waiting off the beach on 13/1/'17.

Matson has sold the 1973-built container/RoRo vessel LURLINE (IMO 7321087). After preparation for her voyage at Terminal 5 in Seattle, she will be towed to the US Gulf Coast to be dismantled.
