SHER beached Alang 11/12/'15 as per GSM weekly report.

Regarding the latest GMS report (week 50), I have a question:

Does anyone know the IMO number of a tanker called MARS (of 16,350ldt) which arrived at Gadani on 11/12/'15? I can't find her. Thanks!

Ralph, "Mars" is suspected, but not confirmed, to be the ex "Varg Star" IMO 9045376.
Sold to Gadani breakers in June 2015, the vessel's last reported movement was through Suez, south-bound on 27/05/2015, & supposedly arrived at Fujairah anchorage on 02/06/2015.
Since then there has been no reports of the vessel's arrival or beaching at Gadani... till now, perhaps.

My contact in Gadani has not only identified this vessel as "Mars", IMO 8227977, ex "Vista 1", ex "Marshal Chuykov" but he also filmed it being beached today, 17/12/2015.

A usually very reliable demolition broker is telling me that MARS is actually ex VISTA I (IMO 8227977).

Actually the thought had crossed my mind that it could be one of those ex-Soviet MARHSAL tankers, but I thought all of them had long gone, so I dismissed the thought quickly. Seems I was wrong!

Could somebody confirm the scrapping of :-
Ploypailin Naree Imo 8103298 Loa 187x29m Built 1998 Bulker....Beached 1/1/16 as the IMO in Miramar for this ship is 9074717.

IMO 8103298 belongs to as built NEPTUNE SHERATAN, 1994 DONG FANG HAI,2010 BEI LUN HAI 16.
Loa 187 x 28.5 built 1983 bulker.

Lloyds List Intelligence shows the IMO for Ploypalin Naree as 9074717 and also show she arrived at the Alang anchorage on 30/12/2015 and beached 1/1/2016
