Sad indeed!! That class has gone from 3 ships down to 1 in a matter of months.

Wasn't a surprise tho, that ship was laid up for months, she served best with Louis and Royal.

Well...apparently the FORMOSA QUEEN (ex-SONG OF NORWAY) has still not been scrapped. She is apparently still sitting at a yard in China. Her interiors are a mess though, the result of a botched refit, so I wouldn't hold out too much hope for her. I heard this from a shipping journalalist who is very active in Asia.

Regarding the OCEAN STAR PACIFIC: she has been laid up for years, as she operated only a few cruises before she broke down twice in 2011. AFAIK, she has not been active since then:

So, will she actually leave Barcelona this time round?

Thanks Ian! I thought it might have been OLYMPIC SPONSOR, but I really wasn't sure at all.

ISABEL DEL MAR is being prepared for towing. The Tug Hellas arrived today in the morning, and this afternoon the ferry is prepared.

Classic reefer SUMMER WIND arrived Alang anchorage 25/8 AM

Sadly, yesterday (2014 09 10), Summer Wind was beached at Alang. At least, she did it in style at a speed of 19 knots - worthy of a ship of her kind.

Now three sisters remain, the Summer Bay, -Flower and -Meadow, all of them currently laid up in the River Fal. Although they had been laid up there during the summer months for the last couple of years, it seems that their future is now more uncertain than before.

SUMMER MEADOW passed through Öresund northbound on 31 of July, so at least she has been out and about :)
