Maersk Detroit in the Sunk anchorage
« on: March 05, 2006, 05:37:23 PM »
For some time now, almost three weeks, there has been a Maersk ship anchored in the Sunk anchorage, with no containers onboard. Although my ship has sailed past every day, I only got its name today, when I managed to be off duty at the right time to get my binos. She is named 'Maersk Detroit'. I don't know why she has been there all that time, but would be interested in knowing. I also don't know if anyone else has already posted this item.

Regards to all

Hi Laurie

As you said from the Maersk Website, the Maersk Detroit did come alongside Felixstowe on the 13th. I was not there to see it happen, but another crew member told me.
Seems a long time to wait at anchor for entry, all the money the ship could have made, by sailing.

Regards
