Queen Elizabeth 2 Oz cruise?

Now that Queen Victoria will be in service for 2008 season, there is a strong rumour within Cunard circles that when QE2 makes her world tour that she will head for Sydney Australia, then visit New Zealand and Tasmania, and return to Sydney. She will the return to UK.
If this happens Australians can go on a cruise on QE2.

QE2 is due in Hobart in Tasmania on 17/2/2007 from New Zealand, next port is Melb and then up to Sydney to arrive with the QM2.

I know of quite a few Tasmanians who are boarding the QE2 in Hobart for the trip up to Sydney.  

I did hear some talk that when the Queen Victoria comes into service that she will be based purley in Europe for the first few years.

But also the posibility that the QE2 will do her world cruise in November and than relocate to Singapore on completion and do a series of Cruises around Asian Destinations and South Pacfic/Australian/New Zealand Destinations.

It would be nice to see here do some more regular visits to Australian/New Zealand Destinations.
