I don't know if any of you have seen this but a video has emerged of the Pride of Calais making a dramatic arrival at the breakers yard in Turkey:

That was her second go, on the first attempt the local pilot reduced the pitch on the centre engine which had the effect of the ship losing steerage, and she ended up in the wrong position  ::)my mate who was on the wheel took some stick !!

Ostend Spirit,

Here a HD version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYltdonj2iE  and another version made from the bridge: first attempt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKeZTycClLc
second attempt: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=55d_1384816686

In the end of the second attempt, you can see the cameraman who made the first video on the crawler track of the dragline walking away when he sees the water coming his way :-)

Cheers Fred
