Two years after the Costa Concordia made its fateful journey, the question of where the vessel should be broken up has yet to be decided.

Insurers hope that the wreck is not forced to journey thousands of miles. At a press conference in Rome on Friday, the Concordia

thanks for the update,,, the insurers just wait when the first mega container boxer goes to the fishes fully loaded, then this might easy become pocket money

I live in Hartlepool and would like to see it arrive here. As it will create a lot of jobs and lots of spin off jobs in an area of high unemployment.

But reading what the Italian government are saying, I am not building up much hopes to seeing it here. As the Itlaians are wanting it to go to an Italian yard. But the upside to the Able UK bid is the large dry dock and environmental friendly facilities that the dry dock creates for dismantling and recycling of ships.
