Tug Lashette - Are there any details of this vessel?
« on: January 15, 2014, 05:34:07 PM »
Hi All

Apart from the IMO number (7206029) and the fact she was built by London & Rochester in Strood as Yard Number 109 I am struggling to find any specific details relating to this veteran tug, i.e engine, bollard pull etc. I have searched the internet and information does seem to be limited which does seem unusual for a tug built in 1971/1972. Can anyone help?

Regards
Steve

Have you considered using books rather than or in addition to the internet? In pre-internet days, we used to refer to "Lloyd's Register" for such information. Some of us still do. You will also find her mentioned in detail in the caption covering her sister tug Shovette in the book "Tugs in Colour - UK".

LASHETTE was an upgrade to JANUS, built 1966 for Ulrich Harms. If you care to PM me with an email address, I'll send a copy of the Schottel datasheets.
