The NZX service has moved from a 5th vessel service to a 6th vessel one with another PIL vessel added. This change took effect when the Kota Lumba made her last visit to NZ

MSC are to make a few changes

Larentia and Hansa Century are to leave the Kiwi Service and will each do a northbound only voyage on the Capricorn Service.

Their places on the Kiwi Service will be taken over by the Glory (IMO 9124378) and Conti Emden (IMO 9313242)

This reshuffling also sees the last of the "Mare" vessels, Mare Caribicum leave the service so presumably there will be a couple more replacements scheduled for the future.

Morning Robbie

From what I hear in the Australian shipping news circles, these chamges result from the return of PFL's Forum Samoa II after a few years being chartered out as Opal Harmony, she is going to r/n Southern Moana for the New Caledonia / Vanuatu run. The previous Southern Moana as you say r/n's Capitaine Wallis for the NZ/Fiji trade, taking cargo previously carried by CMA CGM that now cancelled Fiji calls after the PAD service to Europe dropped back to fortnightly. Southern Lily ex Southern Fleur will cover the Tonga/Samoa trade. New new Forum Samoa III will be introduced to the Australia / Islands trades, formerly the Southern Lily 3, enabling the short-term PFL/Neptune/PDL fill-in MCP Hamburg to be returned to owners.

Thanks for that Brent.

I have also heard once China Nav takes over Pacifica they are planning on returning the current 2 vessels to their owners and chartering 2x 1200TEU vessels but there is no set date on when this will happen.
