I understand on 30 Nov 2013 FPSO Prelude is out of dry dock of Samsung Heavy Industries. Displacement of the giant is some 600000 tons, length 488 meters.

Indeed, a giant leap forward in naval construction...The 'FPSO Prelude' should be ready by 2016.

With 600,000 tons, she certainly will not be a vessel for every port. And therefore, not easy to spot. Any spotters in Northern Australia who may wish to volunteer?  ;D

FPSO Prelude has the biggest length, but as I know the Kamigoto Floating Oil Storage Facility
is the biggest floating storage by displacement. Each floating storage of this facility has Dwt=887.580 tons with dimensions L 390 m, B 97 m

Prelude FLNG is a very large floating liquefied natural gas project for Royal Dutch Shell she is not a FPSO as she is being used on a gas field .

This vessel is some size too and they are already planning to build a bigger one :- http://www.allseas.com/uk/19/
