I've had no trouble at all since the original announcement of change to free. Always been able to log in within 2 secs automatically with password etc saved in Lastpass. (Windows 7 Pro 64 bit+Firefox)

Have you tried the new adress?

http://new.marinetraffic.com/

Hi Mike,

The spare square indicates the type of subscription. You should fill in "basic".
Then another space pops-up for the expiry date where you should put "never".

Good luck,
Robert.

Hi Robert

I guess I am doing something wrong??

I put in my e-mail address
Then password (twice)
then my name & address
I put in 0044 above 'country calling code
I click and add 'age'
I put in 'basic' above SMS alerts
I put in 'Sports' for proffession
I put in 'boater. for what is your relationship to ships
I Click 'terms'
then register

Where am I going wrong ????

@Mike

I think you are registered in the "Old Marinetraffic" as well?

If yes, do you use the same eMail-Adress and the same password?

It's either so slow or not working full stop, Keep getting a 503 error or it takes an age to load an times out.

Hopefully teething problems that will be resolved.

It's always the same another website tinkered with and changed for the worse. The 5 minute delay doesn't bother me as there was always a slight "lag" wih AIS anyway.

The members log in button also has a habit of disappearing to annoyingly....:(

Hi Juergen

Many thanks you may well have been right as I have finally got registered, however agree with others the site is very slow and keeps going off.

I have been trying to track the Enquest Producer from Hamburg to our river the Tyne as she is due at 09.45 in the morning with Odin Viking and Smit Angola towing her

Early days but Now a happy Bunny :)

Frans, i guess it's because they are running two websites at once.
By time that problem will be fixed!

I see it has reverted to the old one here as well so perhaps more than just teething troubles!

They may have reverted, but there's something funny going on with the database: "Marie Maersk" was (finally) amended with correct data, but now I see she's back as "Mary"...

But, this is all secondary, as I keep getting the error message...:(
